# White-label (https://webmetic.de/docs/en/partner/white-label)

For example, your agency looks after a machine builder whose sales team signs in at `leads.agency-example.com` and sees your logo there. The team receives its login details and its invoice from you.

White-label is not a way of billing, though: who sends the invoice is a separate setting.

## From the partner area to the customer [#from-the-partner-area-to-the-customer]

1. **Set up the partner area**: You set your white-label domain, your logo, your colour, and the features you allow.
2. **Add the customer**: You add the customer with white-label turned on, and Webmetic sends their login details to you.
3. **Sign in on your domain**: The customer opens your white-label domain and signs in on a page with your logo.
4. **Use the dashboard**: They see the features you allowed, and every email meant for them goes to you.

The settings in the partner area apply to all your white-label customers at once. Per customer you only decide two things: who sends the invoice and whether they are a white-label customer.

## Your brand [#your-brand]

Three windows in the partner area decide what white-label customers see of you:

- [**White-label domain**](https://app.webmetic.de/?menu=partner_domains): a subdomain of your own domain such as `leads.agency-example.com`, where your customers find the login page and the dashboard. You connect the subdomain with a CNAME record at your DNS provider.
- [**Branding**](https://app.webmetic.de/?menu=partner_branding): your logo and your colour for the login page and the opt-out page on your domain. The logo also appears at the top of the dashboard when the customer opens the dashboard on your domain.
- [**Features**](https://app.webmetic.de/?menu=partner_features): which areas of the dashboard your white-label customers see.

[Set up a white-label domain](https://webmetic.de/docs/en/partner/white-label-domain) describes how to connect the domain, and [Set up branding](https://webmetic.de/docs/en/partner/branding) how to upload your logo and colour.

## What white-label customers get [#what-white-label-customers-get]

For a white-label customer, the following applies:

- **Sign-in**: You give them the address of your white-label domain, where they sign in on a page with your logo and your colour.
- **Emails**: Webmetic sends them no emails. Login details, password emails, and notifications go to the first admin of your partner account, and you pass the login details on yourself.
- **Invoice**: You always invoice them, and they never receive a Webmetic plan.
- **Features**: They see exactly the areas you allowed under **Features**.
- **Tracking code**: They receive a neutral tracking code for their website.

## Allowed features [#allowed-features]

Under [**Menu** > **Partner area** > **Features**](https://app.webmetic.de/?menu=partner_features), you decide once for all of them which areas your white-label customers see. You can't set single customers differently, and every customer without white-label gets every feature.

You can allow **Websites**, **Tracking code**, **API**, **Export**, **Support**, **ICP Analytics**, **Enrichment**, **Credits**, and **Data profiles**. What each switch does is described in [Choose features for customers](https://webmetic.de/docs/en/partner/funktionen-fuer-kunden).

Some areas are never available to white-label customers, however you set the switches:

- **Users**, **Domain blacklist**, and **CSV tag import**
- **SSO settings**, **Billing**, and **DPA**
- **Notifications**
- Smart Pages and integrations such as HubSpot
- the getting started checklist

So you add further logins for these customers yourself, as described in [Manage customers](https://webmetic.de/docs/en/partner/kunden-verwalten).

## Neutral tracking code [#neutral-tracking-code]

White-label customers receive a neutral tracking code, which you copy on the customer's page in the **Tracking code** section. There, the **White-label** form is already selected for these customers.

If you allowed **Tracking code**, the customer also finds the neutral tracking code under **Menu** > **Tracking code**. How to hand the code over is described in [Add customers](https://webmetic.de/docs/en/partner/kunden-anlegen).

## Billing and white-label [#billing-and-white-label]

Who sends the invoice and whether a customer is a white-label customer are two settings. You find both on the customer's page in the **Billing and white-label** section:

- **Billing**: You choose **By you** or **By Webmetic**. Customers you add start out invoiced by you.
- **White-label**: The setting is on or off. When you add a customer, you tick **White-label customer** for this.

Because white-label is only available together with **By you**, you always invoice white-label customers yourself.

Anyone who signs up through your partner page becomes your customer, invoiced by you but without white-label.

| | By you, without white-label | By Webmetic | White-label customer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Invoice | from you | from Webmetic | from you |
| Webmetic plan | not shown | shown | not shown |
| Emails from Webmetic | to the customer | to the customer | none, all go to you |
| Features | all | all | as set under **Features** |
