Credits

Credits are the unit you use in Webmetic to unlock the contact details of people at identified companies.

You only need credits for the contact details of people. For example, if a beverage maker visited your pricing page this week and you unlock the email address of its head of sales, Webmetic deducts credits for that. The search and the company profile, by contrast, cost nothing.

Credits are not a plan and not a subscription. Your credits come from several sources, and unlocking uses up part of them.

From receiving credits to unlocking

  1. 1Receive creditsYour account receives credits as a welcome bonus, with your plan, or through a purchase.
  2. 2Search for contactsYou search for people at an identified company. The search is free.
  3. 3Unlock contact detailsWebmetic delivers the email address or the phone numbers and deducts credits for them.
  4. 4Top up creditsWhen your credits run low, you buy more in the dashboard.

Usage

Only unlocking contact details uses credits, for two kinds of data:

  • Email: You get the person's business email address and their LinkedIn profile, if there is one.
  • Phone: You get the phone numbers Webmetic found for the person.

This applies wherever you unlock: in the dashboard, through the API, in the AI assistant, and in n8n. The button and the Credits window show how many credits an unlock costs.

An unlock can't be undone.

These things cost no credits:

  • Search: Searching for contacts at a company is free.
  • No data found: Webmetic only deducts credits when it actually delivers the requested data.
  • Opening again: You and your team open data your account has already unlocked at no extra cost. Another Webmetic account pays for the same data itself, though.
  • Enrichment: Enrichment costs no credits until January 31, 2027.
  • Visitor Intelligence: The company list, profiles, export, and the transfer to your CRM use no credits.

Your credits

Bonus, monthly, and purchased credits all add up in one place in your account. Credits never expire, and you can't transfer credits between two accounts.

If you cancel your plan or switch to a smaller plan, you keep all your credits.

A display in the dashboard's top bar shows how many credits you have. The display appears once your account has received credits for the first time and stays visible after that, even when you have no credits left.

Clicking the display opens the Credits window. The window shows how many credits you have under Available credits and the purchase options under Top up credits.

The dashboard has no overview of the credits you have used.

Where credits come from

Your account receives credits from these sources:

SourceWhen
Welcome bonusOnce, when you set up contacts for the first time
Starter or Growth planWith the first paid invoice, then on the first of every month
Upgrade from Starter to GrowthThe difference for the current month, once
Free planOn the first of every month, topped up to a small base amount
PurchaseAny time through the Credits window

The monthly credits of Starter and Growth are added to your existing credits, and whatever you don't use stays available. Admins see how many credits your plan includes each month under Menu > Billing at Included credits.

During the trial you only get the welcome bonus unless you buy credits. Enterprise accounts and partners' own accounts get no automatic monthly credits.

If a partner bills your account, ask that partner about credits.

Purchase and invoice

Any user of your account can buy credits, even without admin rights. You open the Credits window and choose the amount you want under Top up credits.

The purchase has two steps, Payment and Confirmation. If your account has no billing address yet, Webmetic asks for it first in the Address step.

You pay once by card or SEPA direct debit. A purchase is therefore not a subscription. The credits are available right after the purchase, even when the direct debit follows over the next few days.

You find the invoice under Menu > Billing. Only admins see this menu item.

If you don't have enough credits when you unlock, Webmetic opens the Credits window by itself. After the purchase, you click the unlock button again.
