AI assistant

Webmetic connects ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI clients to your visitor data through MCP, so you can ask in plain language.

The AI assistant answers questions about the companies on your website from your Webmetic data. For example, you ask "Who visited our pricing page this week?", and the assistant names the companies with their visits. The connection runs through the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

Start with Connect the AI assistant.

What you can ask

These questions work in every account with the tracking code installed:

  • "Which companies visited our website this week?"
  • "Who are our hottest leads this week?"
  • "Who looked at our pricing page this week?"
  • "Give me a weekly report for the last 7 days."

The assistant sees the companies behind visits, not people.

What the assistant may do

The assistant reads your visitor data and changes, deletes, or configures nothing in Webmetic.

At companies that visited your website, it also searches for contacts for free. Unlocking contact details costs credits, and your AI client asks before unlocking unless you have allowed it permanently.

Supported AI clients

You connect these clients with your Webmetic login:

For clients without sign-in, for scripts, and for single sign-on, you connect with an API key. If you sign in with single sign-on only, without a password, ask an admin for the API key.

Who can use the AI assistant

The AI assistant is available on every plan, including the Free plan and the trial. On the Free plan, the assistant only sees the companies whose names you see. For details, see Free plan.

Every user of your account can connect, and one connection covers all websites of the account. If you have several websites, name the website in your question.

Privacy and support

Security and access explains what the assistant sees and how you disconnect it. You find the privacy policy on webmetic.de, and the support team helps with any questions.
